Elite Habits for Winning Life
I recently found an interesting article by a former Navy Seal officer who is now an executive in the corporate environment. He spoke about the 7 secret habits of Navy Seals that are equally effective in everyday life. These are:
1. Be loyal
Be trusted by your family, friends, workmates to be there for them in any situation. Let them be secure in the knowledge that you have their backs.
2. Put others before yourself
In a selfish world your family, friends, workmates must know that you put them before yourself. For no greater love has any man than that he will lay down his life for a friend.
3. Be reflective
Constantly reflect on what is happening in every area of your life, the good, the bad, the ugly and strive for improvement.
4. Be obsessively organised
There can be no reliability without organisation, and you need to be reliable.
5. Asume you don’t know enough
And never will.
6. Be detail-oriented
Remember, in any area of life, it is the details that make the difference between success and failure.
7. Never get comfortable
We need to be constantly improving, and comfort and improvement do not make good bedfellows.
Check yourself and see how do you match up in these areas? Where and how can you improve? Take a look at your life and your organisation and remember small short-term changes lead to great long-term results.
